Two European V8 Sii Deliveries Completed
The first vehicle went to Dan-Tug A/S in Denmark. Dan-Tug has operated ROVs since 1992. Owner Mr. Claus Drechsler comments "This is the best inspection system we have ever operated. The quality of video and sonar imagery is superior compared to all others thanks to the 360 degree concept". The delivery included a V8 Sii ROV with sonar, video, manipulator and the patented Spot.On mission planning and tracking software.
The second delivery is a significant breakthrough in the German market. After several tests, with considerable international competition, Ocean Modules has been awarded a contract to the German Police and a university at Lake Constance. The delivery is a comprehensive system including ultra-short baseline and long baseline underwater positioning systems, dual video cameras, a dual-head electronically scanning sonar, manipulator and Spot.On. It also includes a five-year service contract. The system will be used for, among other things, location and identification of old ammunition and weapons and scientific research.
These two contracts, into for the company entire new markets as far as ROVs are concerned, is an additional validation of the unique technology and reliability Ocean Modules represents in the global underwater market.
