HOTROV and RESROV
Full power ROV systems in extremely small and light packages, the Reservoir ROV (RESROV) and Hot Water ROV (HOTROV) are designed specifically for safe and painless inspections of drinking water reservoir tanks, and hot water systems, respectively.
Ocean Modules is taking the modular concept that has proved so successful in the V4 and V8 ROVs one step further. A surprisingly powerful and robust ROV system, weighing in at only 15 kg, has been acheived using the same components found in the VB, the V4 range and V8 range of ROV products, with lighter materials for pressure tubes and frames. Four Thruster 110 units provide thrust exceeding 26 kgf, despite the compact package.
Practically, this means that deployment in water towers, reservoirs and other areas that are difficult to access, is easy. Dimensions of only 60x43x40 cm allows passage through standard hatches and pipes, without sacrificing the extreme ease of use, power and reliability of the V8 Sii ROV.
In addition, a unique backpack concept, combined with the small weight of the complete system, makes it a cinch to transport up stairs and in confined spaces.
HOTROV, designed specifically with hot water systems in mind, will tolerate 65°C continuously, and 75°C momentarily. Both versions may also be equipped with metal thickness gauges, high-pressure cleaning heads, suction heads and sensors for water quality measurement.
Ocean Modules is also pioneering a new approach to surface cleaning together with a Norwegian specialist technology company, using a patented cleaning head that pressure-washes the surface and evacuates sediment in one step, with practically zero particle spillage. The cleaning head works on any submerged flat surface, including water system "ceilings".
HOTROV and RESROV are versatile and affordable, not to mention extendable. Of course, as with all Ocean Modules ROV products, the HOTROV and RESROV are fully modular, allowing seamless upgrades to the VB, V4 and V8 Sii, all the way up to the V8 HD.
Paired with SPOT.ON, the patented industry standard survey management system software, these systems will provide a totally unique approach to confined space inspection and documentation.
